Today we had a visitor Hannah, from New Horizons here in Bristol. Its an organization that helps people with mental and substance abuse disorders. They have weekly group meetings, for more information or referrals please contact Hannah at hyoung@newhorizonslivingcenters.org

February 16, (4pm-6pm) Zion Church to cook and serve; Meals for Neighbors, get there early 3:30 for the prep. The menu is chili, garlic knots and salad so far. We will be going to the pantry 2/12/26 at 12pm to see what they have in stock. Expecting 25-30 people.

February 22, (11am-1pm) Spare Time Bowling - Get there earlier and meet at 10:30am.

Taste of Bristol – Vouchers sold ($5) benefit the West End Bristol Association -  please see John Cassidy for 20% off coupons off your TOTAL check on participating restaurants in Bristol! Coupons are valid from March 1 – April 30 , 2026. *Alcohol is NOT included*

St. Vincent DePaul - needs help with volunteers due to overflow and the cold throughout CT. Anything you can do would be appreciated per them, even a couple of hours.

Heather – March 1st mini grants are due. 

Heather – March 18th is the deadline for scholarships. Scholarships need to be updated and reach out to St. Vincent DePaul as well. Only 6 applications have been submitted.

Tom – to aid in getting more applicants for scholarships by reaching out to guidance counselors at St. Paul and the Bristol Edition to get more exposure.

Rotarys Spring Gathering - April 16th Max Pizza (time)? We need fliers to promote the gathering at the next Morning Jolt meeting on February 17th Tuesday (8am-9am) Get the word out.

Judy – A third grader, Eva from a school in Northern Virigina reached out to us asking to tell her about CT. She will be presenting Connecticut at her local state fair. A sheet was passed out with questions and an address to mail in your answers. She also listed postcards or souvenirs you'd like to add. Ex. What does your states look like? What animals do you have? Whats the food? You can mail to;

Miss Campbells Class, The Langley School, 1411 Balls Hill Road, Mclean Virginia 22101.  This is for Eva

Tom shared that he once had a project like this and nobody wrote back, so lets help this girl out :)

Blaise called Ken Agnello and handed his phone to Norm who then informed Ken, that he is an honorary member of the Rotary Club today. Ken was very happy with this news and thanked everyone.

Happy and Sad bucks to sum that up:

Everyone was happy that it’s getting warmer and we all wished Mary Etter blessings on her surgery today.   *Bill won the raffle but, he was sitting in David Radcliffs seat so of course he did!*

We want to congratulate Christine Campbell for taking on the position of Club Administration Secretary. As you can see by the minutes posted above she has done a fantastic job.
