Farmers Market Update
The city council met on March 14, 2023
Bristol Rotary was voted to be marshals of farmers' market
The market will open on June 17, 2023, and go into October 
Sign up sheet will go around starting next week, we will look for set up and take down crew as well as slots for those that can stay the day
We have been granted a $5,000 marketing budget
which will help with signs, bags with the Rotary logo
Farmers pay $100 for the whole season
 
Sara proposed we get a banner for Muzzy on the concourse + be added to ad program book - cost $750
BCHS Interact Club Update
The Interact Club granted a wish to Make a Wish recipient who is a girl whose wish is a shopping spree at West farms Mall. She says we would love to roll out the red carpet for Rosie and greet her with some wish magic. Bring energy and love.
 
ACTION ITEM: Our club would also like to schedule another breakfast with the Interact Club!
It's Mini-Grant Time

Scholarship Award Dinner
ALL Bristol Rotarians are invited to the Scholarship Awards dinner on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the Double Tree Hotel, 11-2.  We will award 7 Schwartz Scholarships and one Richie Scholarship.
 
* There was a 30% increase in applications this year
* 2.3 million has been given to 107 students throughout the years

Dale, UConn teams, sad for brackets choosing Purdue who lost to #16 seed!  Happy Penn State made the tournament, beat Texas A&M, made a respectable showing next round 

John, happy Sarah came to speak to the world series club, glad to see how many Rotarians showed up for the Shamrock run, Bracket is not busted, lose if UConn wins, Knights had a  free breakfast for partitioners - made $350, when they charged for Santa breakfast, made $200

Lee, director for St. Vincent de Paul, great to see everyone at Shamrock run

Mary, UConn basketball, a funeral for day programs lady. I was able to see her before she passed away, happy for Rotary friends, BARC building project still going, play upcoming, passion play...with St. Luke, 45th year of play, Jesus said covid is over.  

Doreen, happy about the Shamrock run and walk, great to see Claudette and Lee, MOJO (Judi Ann), and happy to be attending the Passion play Mary is in, 2 Xtra tickets

Phylis, happy it's spring, ironic one of PT's students was the Blues Mascot
