Began the meeting with the pledge and then we thought we spied our friend Mario in the lobby - a few of us attempted to bring him to the meeting - turns out it was a Mario look alike! Words of the day:
The Scholarship Dinner is this Sunday, June 12, 2022 58 people will attend; 11 of those scholarship winners 5:00 cocktail hour, 6:00 dinner
Jim gave another Farmer's Market update. The market walk-through went well, no power - vendors will bring coolers, and stage + food trucks will run generators. The sale starts June 18, 2022. 18 vendors are signed up. Lots of Rotarians signed up for 1st day - this will be a good opportunity for a group shot. New sponsor Peoples United Bank + continued sponsor Morgan Stanley. The Tri-fold brochure has been updated, with the membership application conveniently inside. Jim ordered tote bags. A new tent is in the works, we will bring our club bell for opening and closing. Look out for yard signs + advertisements in the Plymouth connection + Record-Journal / Southington citizen. New food truck vendor Blue Chip Creamery will join the market this year. NEW - Mini Golf Tournament fundraiser is on Sunday, September 18, 2022 Stay tuned for opportunities to sponsor, donate raffle prizes, and further planning. Happy / Sad Bucks Sarah. Bristol Blues Opening day is THIS Thursday - Muzzy, 6:30, Sunday games are at 5:30, 1 ticket gifted to each person! Dave - Hope tour is tomorrow. Men and Boys fund breakfast is Thursday Les happy-sad for Boston Celtics John Cassidy, Virginia Beach trip was great, top gun every day, ran a 10k in tall grass- 6 miles with no water Claudette, the Top Gun movie was great! Dale vacationed for 2 weeks, "nerd heaven", HAM radio national convention, and paid a visit to his brother in Stillwater MI, ride home was 1279 miles. Gas expensive! Jim. Glorious weather George, walking 1 mile each day! Les, granddaughter graduated Friday, obtained the highest prize, voted to most exemplify the values of the school, going to Ithaca Laura - happy for a successful Prom photo event
